Revisión del álbum "Marioneta" por TRANSCENDING THE MUNDANE Metal Magazine (USA)
Peruvian thrashers had a great run from 1998-2001 when they released four acclaimed albums; starting with 1998’s Excuse Para Morir and ending with 2001’s Anemone. Then they split up before reforming with basically the same lineup in 2019. They released a compilation of real early songs called Perros de Guerra in 2023 and Marioneta is their first official comeback album. Most of the songs are short and remain in that late nineties groove thrash style. Even though “Marioneta” and “Reflexiones de Invierno” are more melodic, the vocals are still aggressive. “El Capricho de los Simios” is more of a black and death metal mix. My favorite song here is the more emotional “Damnatio Memoriae.”
